VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 is headed towards its final matches. So far, four teams have been eliminated from the competition, leaving only six more competing for the title of World Champion. Day 5 closed with a series between Pacific's Xipto Esports and NA's Shopify Rebellion. The Bo3 (best-of-three) was exciting to watch, as both teams fully displayed their incredible mechanical skill.

However, Shopify Rebellion was able to dominate in terms of strategy and overcome Xipto Esports. They won both maps and closed the series with a 2-0 scoreline.

After the match, Sportskeeda Esports' Sneh Jadhav got the opportunity to talk to Xipto Esports' enerii, during which she said:

"I kinda expected us to win"

Xipto Esports' enerii talks about the matchup against Shopify Rebellion in the VCT Game Changers Championship 2024

Xipto Esports has been one of the most fierce teams at the event. Pacific's #1 seed has already managed to win many hearts, and established itself as one of the stronger teams at the event. Xipto Esports' first match against FLYQuest RED proved that it was a terrifying team to face off against.

Unfortunately, the match against Shopify Rebellion didn't end up in its favor. In this series, Xipto Esports had many moments of greatness but ultimately fell to Shopify's strategy. In a teaser for Day 5, Xipto Esports' enerii talked about how she was a fan of Shopify Rebellion's meL and followed her journey for a long time. She also mentioned how she had wanted the matchup against NA's best for a while and was excited to finally face off against the team.

Sportskeeda Esports approached enerii after the series to ask her about her experience of finally playing against Shopify Rebellion and if the matchup lived up to her expectations. Here's what she had to say:

"I think overall it was a good experience for us to see like where we stand. I feel like honestly, with some refinementewe are gonna go through the lowers and meet them in the finals again. And for me, I kinda expected us to win. But I think we did like very very small mistakes that we still gotta refine so yeah."

As a result of this defeat, Xipto Esports will be making its way to the lower brackets of the event. The team will face off against LATAM's KRÜ BLAZE next.
