VCT Game Changers Championship 2024 is headed towards some of its most exciting matches. With only six teams left in the event, everyone is giving their absolute best to stay in the competition. Day 5 ended with a match between NA's Shopify Rebellion and Pacific's Xipto Esports. The Bo3 (best-of-three) was an entertaining one to watch. Both teams had many high-octane aim duels that showcased their mechanical skill. However, Shopify Rebellion had the edge when it came to strategy, and won both the maps. They were able to close the series with a 2-0 scoreline.
After the match, Sportskeeda Esports' Sneh Jadhav approached Shopify Rebellion's IGL (in-game leader), meL, during which she said:
"I think it was really fun."

Shopify Rebellion is the reigning champion coming into this event. The team has barely shed a sweat throughout the entire year as they have given strong performances regionally. Even in GCC 2024, Shopify Rebellion has won both their series cleanly and is yet to lose a map.
After their series against Xipto Esports, Sportskeeda Esports approached Shopify Rebellion's IGL, meL, to ask about her experience calling the shots against a hyper-aggressive team like Xipto Esports. Here's what she said:
"I think it was really fun. I think it was interesting because obviously they played different comps too. So they kind of lean into their strengths of playing to their aim and their mechanics. So, it was very different. We play comps that we never play outside of the Sunset one, that was like pretty normal. But, on Pearl for example, it was a lot of trying to exploit the details in their comps and stuff like that."
She further added:
"So, as an IGL, it's actually pretty interesting. You would think like oh it's just mac (macro), just like win the 1v1s but there is a lot of thought and strategy that can go into minimizing their impact with their mechanics."
Due to this win, Shopify Rebellion has progressed further into the Upper bracket. Their next match will be against G2 Gozen where they will play for a slot at the Grand Finals.
