Recent rumors suggest that Valorant might get a slot in the upcoming Esports World Cup 2025. Journalist Mikhail Klimentov took to X to share his findings from an internal EWC document that reportedly lists Riot's 5v5 character-based shooter and Game Changers for the EWC 2025 event. However, they further shared that Riot had denied the inclusion of Game Changers in EWC 2025.
Here is everything to know about EWC 2025 and whether it will include Riot's latest shooter game.
Valorant to reportedly debut in EWC 2025
As stated above, Valorant might debut in EWC 2025. According to rumors, the 25 games to be included in the EWC 2025 are all but confirmed and Riot's latest tactical shooter is a part of that list.
Riot had previously spoken about their ongoing talks to include League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Valorant in the Esports World Cup. Considering the fact that League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics have already been introduced in Esports World Cup 2024, the new competitive shooter might be the next Riot game in line to make the cut. However, Riot has also stated that they were not considering the addition of a Game Changers event in EWC 2025.
The list of games already announced for the Esports World Cup 2025 are:
- Call of Duty Black Ops 6
