Valorant Champions 2024 will start on August 1, and the hype around the biggest event of the year is already at an all-time high. The 2024 edition of Champions features perhaps the most stacked lineup of teams in the game's history. No team can be classified as weak since each one is mechanically sound. On a given day, any team has the potential to cause upsets, making Valorant Champions 2024 quite unpredictable.
This article provides a tier list of the 16 teams at Valorant Champions 2024.

Valorant Champions 2024 teams ranked from worst to best
16) Bilibili Gaming
Bilibili Gaming will come into Valorant Champions 2024 as the fourth seed from China. While the core of yosemite, Knight, and whzy will be disappointed to not see s0m, FNS, and ardiis at this event, the team's run to qualify for the tournament was a rollercoaster.
After a disastrous start to the year, the additions of Flex1n and nephhh completely revamped the roster's direction with a sensational Stage 2. While Bilibili Gaming is a considerably solid team, coming into the most stacked tournament of all time as the fourth seed from the weakest region automatically places the roster at the last spot in the Champions 2024 power rankings.
The Bilibili Gaming roster is,
- Wang "yosemite" Lei
- Wang "whzy" Haozhe
- Luo "Flex1n" Rui
- Marcus "nephhh" Tan Kai Wen (IGL)
- Liu "Knight" Yuxiang
- Lu "Levius" Yinzhong (Substitute)
- Lee "bail" Sung-jae (Head Coach)
15) Trace Esports
It was a matter of "when" and not "if" for Trace Esports debuting on the international stage. Global fans will finally see the Chinese team in action at the year's biggest tournament. Often known as the perennial chokers of the Chinese league, the inclusion of former Bilibili Gaming IGL, Biank gave Trace Esports the edge needed to secure a Top 3 spot.
Notable players to watch out for include the killer duo of FengF and Kai. While expectations aren't high for this team, the roster could be the equivalent of Champions 2023's Bilibili Gaming if underestimated.
Here's the Trace Esports roster:
- Song "FengF" Xuefeng
- Lu "Kai" Zhinan
- Zhang "LuoK1ng" Zhanpeng
- Ho "heybay" Shun-hei (IGL)
- Zhong "Biank" Jianfei
- Gu "destroyeR" Jiaming (Head Coach)
14) Talon Esports
Talon Esports has been one of the biggest surprises in VCT Pacific this year. There were little expectations around this roster but Talon made it to the Stage 2 playoffs with relative ease. The signing superstar rookie Primmie gave them the final boost needed to make it to Champions 2024.
Crws and Surf return to the international stage without their XERXIA brethren. This team can do serious damage and cause upsets, but their highly volatile playstyle could easily be its downfall against most teams with a solid read against Talon.
Talon Esports is
- Thanamethk "Crws" Mahatthananuyut (IGL)
- Jittana "JitboyS" Nokngam
- Papaphat "primmie" Sriprapha
- Joseph "ban" Seungmin Oh
- Peter "Governor" No
- Thanachart "Surf" Rungapajaratkul (Substitute)
- Hector "FrosT" Rosario (Head Coach)
13) KRÜ Esports
KRÜ Esports continue their flawless record of attending every single Champions event. The Latin American roster qualified for Champions 2024 through the skin of their teeth with a 2-1 victory over 100 Thieves. mta's return to the roster started off weak, but KRÜ picked up momentum at the right time.
keznit continues to be a world-class Duelist and is the key player to watch out for in this team. Other players like heat and Shyy have also performed very well. However, the team simply lacks the consistency to go big at this event.
KRÜ Esports comprises
- Fabian "Shyy" Usnayo
- Angelo "keznit" Mori
- Olavo "heat" Marcelo
- Nicolás "mta" González
- Marco "Melser" Amaro (IGL)
- Jorge "Atom" Sierro (Head Coach)
12) FunPlus Phoenix
FunPlus Phoenix gained a lot of new fans after its admirable performance at Masters Shanghai. Since then, the team noticeably regressed due to meta changes and took a while to adapt. However, the Stage 2 playoffs saw this team become revitalized and return to its usual form.
Unfortunately, the usual form included losing to EDward Gaming in the grand finals yet again. The good news for FPX is that the roster is getting into its groove at the right time and could pull off a crazy run to shock the world.
FunPlus Phoenix is as follows:
- Zhang "AAAAY" Yang
- Chang "BerLIN" Po-Lin (IGL)
- Liang "Lysoar" Youhao
- Kale "autumn" Dunne
- Qu "Life" Donghao
- Deng "NaThanD" Senqiao (Head Coach)
11) FUT Esports
FUT Esports has made it to Valorant Champions 2024, but their recent form has been pretty unconvincing. The team failed to win a single map in the Stage 2 playoffs after a dominant regular season. The Turkish side is undoubtedly a roster with exceptional talent.
However, the team just lacks a certain something to truly break the barrier that separates them from the elite teams. Unfortunately for FUT, this is likely going to be the case at Champions 2024.
FUT Esports consists of the following members:
- Furkan "MrFaliN" Yeğen (IGL)
- Mehmet Yagiz "cNed" ipek
- Eray "yetujey" Budak
- Dogukan "qRaxs" Balaban
- Ata "ATA KAPTAN" Tan
- Eray "Gais" Sarikaya (Head Coach)
10) Sentinels
One of Valorant's most popular teams returns to a Champions event after three years. Sentinels will be present for the biggest spectacle of VCT 2024, but the way this team made it to the event is nothing to be proud of. An exceptional peak at Masters Madrid has only culminated in deteriorating performances for the American giants.
While Sentinels had a great Stage 2 regular season, the roster collapsed in playoffs due to players having personal issues. Regardless of the circumstances, the team simply doesn't look convincing to contest against the best right now. If Sentinels can channel its Masters Madrid form, we could perhaps see the team being a legitimate threat at Champions 2024.
The members of Sentinels are
- Mohamed Amine "johnqt" Ouraid (IGL)
- Tyson "Tenz" Ngo
- Zachary "zekken" Patrone
- Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi
- Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
- Rahul "Curry" Nemani (Substitute)
- Adam "kaplan" Kaplan (Head Coach)
9) EDward Gaming
ZmjjKK and EDward Gaming are the protagonists of Chinese Valorant. The Chinese giants have once again made it to Champions 2024 as the number one seed from China. However, the team had plenty of struggles in Stage 2. The benching of IGL Haodong and the debut of S1mon rejuvenated the roster quickly.
EDward Gaming went on a tear in Stage 2 playoffs and made a statement that this new iteration means business. With ZmjjKK being the reliable superstar, EDG might have finally found the tools needed to make a big impact at a Champions event.
EDward Gaming is
- Hsieh "S1mon" Meng-sun
- Wan "CHICHOO" Shunzhi
- Wang "nobody" Senxu (IGL)
- Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang
- Zhang "Smoggy" Zhao
- Guo "Haodong" Haodong (Substitute)
- Lin "WoodAy1" Weihong (Substitute)
- Lo "AfteR" Wen-hsin (Head Coach)
8) Team Vitality
The biggest surprise from the EMEA region, Team Vitality stormed into Stage 2 playoffs and made a fantastic run where the team fell short against Fnatic twice to place second. The return of Sayf to the Duelist role and superstar performances from trexx has proven to be the missing pieces to the puzzle for Vitality's success.
Team Vitality is the quintessential dark horse at this event and could pull off an unlikely run if Sayf and trexx can continue to perform at absurd levels.
Team Vitality is:
- Jokūbas "ceNder" Labutis (IGL)
- Nikita "trexx" Chrerednichenko
- Kimmie "Kicks" Leasner
- Emil "runneR" Trajkovski
- Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel
- Harry "Gorilla" Mepham (Head Coach)
7) Paper Rex
One of the most beloved teams in Valorant will make its third Valorant Champions in a row. This time around, Paper Rex has subdued expectations after a disappointing run in the Stage 2 playoffs. While the team has plenty of firepower and individual prowess, the abstract team comps due to Jingg's shallow agent pool in the current meta has limited Paper Rex.
The APAC team is still an extremely dangerous team against any opponent. However, the lack of consistency from all five players and team comp issues could rear their ugly heads once again for Paper Rex at an international event.
Paper Rex comprises the following members:
- Aaron "mindfreak" Leonhart
- Jason "f0rsakeN" Susanto
- Khalish "d4v41" Rusyaidee
- Wang "Jinggg" Jie
- Ilya "something" Petrov
- Alexandre "alecks" Sallé (Coach)
6) DRX
After missing out on all the international events in 2024 so far, DRX has made it to Champions 2024 to play in front of its home crowd. This time around, fans won't see the likes of stax, Rb, and Zest, like many are used to with DRX. The young stars such as BeYN and Flashback have proven to be future greats.
MaKo has quickly acclimated to the IGL role. Moreover, the team has terrifying firepower paired with a newfound mental fortitude as seen in its reverse sweep against longtime rivals, Paper Rex. DRX is another team to watch out for at Champions 2024 and is an obvious lock for a Top 6 finish at minimum.
DRX consists of
- Kang "BeYN" Ha-bin
- Yu "BuZz" Byung-chul
- Kim "MaKo" Myeong-kwan (IGL)
- Jung "Foxy9" Jae-sung
- Cho "Flashback" Min-hyuk
- Pyeon "termi" Seon-ho (Head Coach)
5) Team Heretics
Team Heretics has made it to every single international event in 2024. However, this is the first time the team gets to play with its intended roster. They had a topsy-turvy Stage 2, culminating in an underwhelming exit in the playoffs. Regardless of this underperformance, Team Heretics is a fearsome roster when it fires on all cylinders.
The core of Wo0t, RieNs, and benjyfishy paired with the brothers Boo and MiniBoo are one of the outside favorites to lift the coveted trophy. After getting so close to glory in Shanghai, Team Heretics won't be satisfied with anything other than a trophy lift at Seoul.
Team Heretics' members are
- Ricardas "Boo" Lukaševičius (IGL)
- Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius
- Enes "RieNs" Ecirli
- Benjy "benjyfishy" Fish
- Mert "Wo0t" Alkan
- Neil "neilzinho" Finlay (Head Coach)
4) G2 Esports
G2 Esports' rise to the top has been fantastic to watch. The North American roster is the only Ascension team that qualified to Valorant Champions 2024. The team doesn't have a standout superstar. Instead, it makes up for it with five incredibly impactful players that work as a well-oiled machine.
G2, on its good day, is an incredibly hard team to overcome. With excellent teamplay and map pool, it will look to make a deep run at Champions 2024.
G2 Esports is
- Jacob "valyn" Batio (IGL)
- Jacob "icy" Lange
- Jonah "JonahP" Pulice
- Trent "trent" Cairns
- Nathan "leaf" Orf
- Josh "JoshRT" Lee (Head Coach)
3) Fnatic
The benching of Leo due to health reasons raised many concerns about Fnatic's future after its disappointing performance at Masters Shanghai. The subsequent arrival of hiro might have made this team even stronger, which is a crazy thing to say. However, that might simply be the reality we live in at the moment.
Derke has regained his monstrous form and Chronicle has been impeccable. hiro has adjusted supremely well with Fnatic and has been a standout carry for the team in many maps. Champions 2024 could be Fnatic's return to the apex of VCT.
Fnatic is:
- Jake "Boaster" Howlett (IGL)
- Emirhan "hiro" Kat
- Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev
- Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov
- Emir "Alfajer" Ali Beder
- Domagoj "Doma" Fancev (Substitute)
- Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit (Head Coach)
2) Leviatán
Leviatán was the superteam many people were looking forward to watching at the start of VCT 2024. While the team hasn't lived up to those expectations entirely, Champions 2024 could be when this roster truly gets to shine.
After removing former head coach Goked and replacing him with former Apeks head coach Itopata, Leviatán has simply looked unstoppable. One of the biggest criticisms of the team is their overdependence on aspas. This is no longer the case with players like tex, kiNgg, and Mazino all shining brilliantly. Leviatán is poised to be one of the early favorites and restore glory to the Americas region.
Leviatán's members are
- Francisco "kiNgg" Aravena (IGL)
- Erick "aspas" Santos
- Corbin "C0M" Lee
- Roberto "Mazino" Bugueño
- Ian "tex" Botsch
- Dimitar "Itopata" Staev (Head Coach)
1) Gen.G
Gen.G is the final boss of Valorant. It is as simple as that at this point. No team exudes an aura quite like them. They are five incredibly sharp aimers paired with an exceptional protocol and a strong map pool. Gen.G is the most complete team in Valorant and stopping them seems like a task very few can do.
With the home crowd buff at Champions 2024, all signs point towards Gen.G completing a historic season and bringing home Pacific its first Valorant Champions trophy
Gen.G is
- Kim "Meteor" Tae-o
- Kim "t3xture" Na-ra
- Kim "Lakia" Jong-min
- Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom (IGL)
- Kim "Karon" Won-tae
- Kang "solo" Keun-chul (Head Coach)
