Valorant has just released a cryptic one-word message about the game's upcoming Agent. On January 2, 2025, Riot Games uploaded a post on Valorant's official X page with the word "CUATRO" used as the caption. The word is the Spanish translation of the number "four". However, "Cuatro" is also the name of an instrument popularly used in Latin American and Caribbean folk music.

Valorant's next Agent could be Latin American or Columbian. This information has not been confirmed; however, an earlier post from popular Valorant leaker @ValorLeaks had teased the Agent's nationality as Columbian.

This previous post surfaced on December 9, 2024, with a short clip of the Agent sipping on some coffee before jumping out of an airplane. The popular leaker had also suggested that the next Valorant Agent would be an Initiator. However, now, with a brand-new and official post, Riot Games has only pushed fans' intrigue further.

The brand-new post captioned "CUATRO" showcases a very short clip of Chamber and another vaguely visible character running in a very narrow hallway. Fans were also quick to point out several yellow and gray colored insects in the clip, which were only visible for a very short period of time.

Ultimately, it is difficult to tell what "CUATRO" means in this context. However, one popular interpretation is that the new Valorant Agent will be revealed in four days. One may also interpret it as the reveal date; therefore, Riot Games could also be hinting at January 4, 2025, for the same. This could be a date of significance when they either release a more detailed teaser, a trailer, or something else.

That being said, the post has been cryptic for a strong reason. Riot Games is attempting to create hype around the upcoming character, and fans are positively responding to it. Some also theorize that the teaser could be for a new map instead of a new Agent. Regardless, the masses will only find out once an official confirmation arrives from the developers.
