Valorant Fans advocate to buff this Agent in next patch update

Valorant fans have been asking to buff an agent and it's none other than Astra. The Controller used to have five stars available, which made her a bothersome opponent to fight against. This is because she could deploy two long-range smokes across the map, deploy her gravity well to hold opponents in one place, and daze them with her Nova pulse.

However, the agent was nerfed and some members of the Valorant community did not take too kindly to it. Reddit user Physical-Leg4179 shared their thoughts on why she must be buffed again.

Several Valorant fans agreed that Astra could use a small buff to her kit. However, they did not want an imbalanced agent that would eventually be nerfed again anyway. Instead, fans suggested a more viable option that would slightly buff the cooldown time on her abilities.

In the meantime, other fans were of an opposing view. One Reddit user believed that it's better to bring her back to her old 5-star setting. However, the cooldowns should be kept the same, causing a delay in her timings. This would mean Astra would not be able to deploy utility swiftly despite having five stars in her kit.

In the meantime, there were also Valorant fans who were not convinced by the idea of a buff. One user was of the opinion that the agent isn't bad at all and perhaps still can be utilized in the game.

Meanwhile. some Valorant fans had bigger priorities than Astra. One Reddit user demanded a Sage buff ahead of one for Astra. The Sentinel has seen a variety of nerfs over the past year and clearly, some fans are not happy.

One Valorant fan was convinced that the OP had a biased opinion. They implied that maining Astra is making the original poster lean into her favor even though she is a well-balanced agent at the moment.

Controller nerfs that displeased Valorant fans

Some Valorant fans are clearly asking for an Astra buff in the upcoming update. The current patch 8.08 potentially brought about an instrumental meta switch in the game.

By making the Controller, Viper, difficult to play with, the game has successfully attempted to push their new agent, Clove into the forefront of professional and ranked matches.

However, post-nerf Viper is still a rather usable option. If not, people also often prefer Harbor with its very long walls that cover up multiple chokes all at once. This is probably why Astra may not receive a new buff any time soon. Riot Games has yet to respond to fans' dilemmas.
