Valorant Iso nerfs will be implemented soon, according to a recent X post by Riot Games developer, @penguinVALORANT, who stated that the team is planning to nerf Iso with the start of the next Episode. The Chinese Agent became too overpowered following buffs in patch 8.11. As a result, players have been increasingly demanding that the Duelist be nerfed since it was getting impossible to deal with him in pistol rounds.

In a recent X post, Riot Games developer @penguinVALORANT revealed the changes coming to Iso in Valorant. According to them, the Valorant Iso nerfs will do the following:
- Remove the two-kill reset on his E
- Reduce the duration of his E from 20s to 12s
Furthermore, the developer added the reason for Valorant nerfing Iso:
"Removing the reset gives Iso just one activation, and reducing the duration should create a clearer window for opponents to deny him fights."
These changes will ensure a more balanced playing field. Iso has had a low pick rate since his launch in the game, but the recent Iso buffs in Valorant patch 8.11 made him a clear choice in pistol rounds. The duration of the Iso's shield getting cut down by eight seconds will likely even things out once again.
Patch 9.00 is expected to drop with the start of Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 on June 25, 2024. However, Valorant Console players will have to wait longer for the Iso nerfs. These changes will be shipped to Console with patch 9.01 due to this version needing multiple bug fixes for Iso and Neon.
