When might Valorant Agent 26 be revealed?

Valorant Agent 26 has been teased yet again by the developer. The upcoming character started showing up in the game when the new map Abyss was released on June 11, 2024. A distant structure on the map can be seen, somewhat shaped like an hourglass. Within the structure, a mysterious figure used to prowl ahead of the recent Valorant 9.02 update. Now, a different sort of teaser is available on the same map.

Valorant Agent 26 has an hourglass theme and some hints have been dropped throughout the recent trailers. While no official date has been revealed, it is highly possible that Riot Games could reveal the new Agent at Champions Seoul. Let's break down everything we know about the Agent so far.

Valorant Agent 26: Possible abilities and lore

Valorant Agent 26 is a well-kept secret and not much has been revealed about the character. Before patch 9.02, players could see the potential Agent roam in their cell, possibly trapped or imprisoned by Kingdom on Abyss.

After the recent update, the same prison has taken a different form. It is now red and has spiky silver roots gripping it from different directions. Inside the scarlet glow of the prison is a rose made out of metal.

These hints towards at least two things. Perhaps the Agent has the ability to manipulate time or plant life, or it could also be a combination of both. Additionally, Valorant Agent 26 will likely be a Sentinel since the last new character to come out was Clove, a Controller.

This is not the only hint Riot Games has dropped about the upcoming Agent. Certain cards, such as the In Bloom Card in-game, also showcase imagery similar to the aforementioned ornamental rose. Finally, a teaser was also shown at the end of the Episode 9 Act 1 trailer.

Let us also keep in mind that Valorant Champions Seoul, the greatest Valorant stage officially organized by Riot Games, begins on August 1, 2024. The event will be one of the grandest out there.

To make things better and turn the hype up, the developer can announce the new Valorant Agent 26 before or after the Valorant Champions Seoul grand finals, scheduled to be held on August 25. This is based on the fact the latest Agent in-game, Clove, was also revealed during a show match just before the VCT Masters Madrid Grand Finals.

That being said, many believe that the lore behind Valorant's 26th Agent can be rather tragic. After all, they were imprisoned in an impenetrable cell. The original Abyss trailer could have been Clove, Omen, and Iso on a mission to rescue the new Agent.

It is well known that Omen is currently on a hunt trying to get answers to his origin. Perhaps the new Agent is somehow related to Omen or can give him answers no one else in the universe can give. It would not be surprising to see the upcoming Agent being freed or breaking out of their prison by the time Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 comes to an end.
