Anna and Elizabeth Olsen
Frozen's Princess Anna might have been voiced by Kristen Bell, who looks like a Disney Princess in her own right, but the way the character looks bears an uncanny resemblance to another actress altogether; Elizabeth Olsen.
Elizabeth Olsen is probably best known for two things: first, for playing Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and second, for being Mary Kate and Ashley's younger sister.
If the Broadway adaptation of Frozen is missing an Anna, we're pretty sure Olsen will get a phone call.
Roger Klotz and Macklemore
Doug was a masterful cartoon that dealt with a variety of issues teenagers face every day in a smart, original way, with its own unique visual language and an ensemble cast of wonderful characters.
The character of Roger Klotz started out as a villain in the show, but as the seasons progressed, Roger's home life was revealed in all of its complexity, and he and Doug ultimately became friends.
Still, why Macklemore would choose to look exactly like him, haircut and all, is beyond us.
Ned Flanders and Gary Oldman
Ned Flanders is one of the oldest - and most well-loved - characters in the history of the Simpsons.
His happy-go-lucky, wholesome approach to life, as well as his perfect family, often conflict with the broken family dynamics of the Simpsons family who live right next door, and as a result Flanders has, some might say unjustly, become a sort of nemesis of Homer's.
Still, it's hard not to like Flanders - so when Gary Oldman donned the mustache in Christopher Nolan's Batman movie franchise, we're sure quite a few fans of the cartoon characters were thrilled.
Melman and David Schwimmer
Well, this one is a no-brainer;
Madagascar's neurotic character of Melman the giraffe looks a lot like David Schwimmer of Friends fame - but in this case, it's no accident.
Much like the rest of Madagascar's cartoon cast, the way the animated characters look, act and move in the film was actually inspired and informed by the actors voicing them.
In Melman's case, it was David Schwimmer, and the comedic actor's somewhat goofy and aloof physicality translated perfectly on to the cartoon giraffe.
Chuckie Finster and Ed Sheeran
Rugrats is somewhere up there in the top 5 cartoons of the '90s, and one reason for that is the fact that each person has a different favorite Rugrat.
Easily one of the most popular characters in the charismatic toddler group, though, was Chuckie Finster. Always worried, and often acting as the voice of reason, Chuckie's endearing fussiness has made countless viewers of the show fall in love with him. But we always did have to wonder; what would Chuckie look like when he grew up?
Well, over two decades later, we finally have an answer: Ed Sheeran.
Ralph and John C. Reilly
Like Madagascar's Melman, the design of Wreck-It Ralph's Ralph was based on the actor who provided him with his voice. In this case; John C. Reilly.
Although Ralph is a very physical, very large character, while John C. Reilly has a much less pronounced physique, looking at the two side by side is impossible to do without drawing comparisons. Separately, each one of their features looks different - but the overall impression they give is very similar, which just goes to show just how ingenious Ralph's character design is.
Peter Griffin and Michael Moore
While Gillian Anderson and Lois Griffin seem to be similar both physically and in their personalities, it's difficult to imagine anyone looking more similar yet being so different than Family Guy's cartoon Peter Griffin and real life award-winning director Michael Moore.
Michael Moore's poignant documentaries have drawn both praise and criticism, but have, above all, inspired debate and thought on the subjects they covered. His sharp wit and interviewing skills have created films that have become important landmarks in the world of documentary cinema - an achievement we'd find it difficult envisioning Peter Griffin achieving.
Milhouse and Josh Saviano
The character of Milhouse Van Houten in The Simpsons has always been divisive.
On the one hand, he always served as the butt of "nerd" jokes - but on the other, his kind heart and good intentions seemed to soften even the harshest of viewers, and so, some viewers felt that the things the showrunners put him through were unjustified.
Wherever you fall on the Milhouse debate, though, you can't deny that he looks an awful lot like Paul Joshua Pfeiffer, played by Josh Saviano in The Wonder Years.
Mumble and Elijah Wood
Who's adorable, has big, blue eyes and a penchant for tap dancing?
That's right! Elijah Wood!
Just like Ralph and Melman, Happy Feet's protagonist, Mumble, was designed with the actor voicing him in mind.
So it's no coincidence that Mumble's big, blue eyes and animated facial expressions are so similar to those of Wood's; the animators who created him studied countless hours of footage of Elijah Wood in order to do so.
Flynn Rider and Jake Gyllenhaal
Tangled's character of Flynn Rider is no ordinary Disney prince.
A thief and a criminal, Flynn has a change of heart after meeting with Rapunzel and taking refuge in her tower.
His design was based on the swashbuckling characters Han Solo and Indiana Jones, as well as on the actors who played characters like them in the Golden Age of Hollywood, Gene Kelly and Errol Flynn - after whom the character was named - Flynn was meant to represent adventure, fun and danger.
It just so happens that Jake Gyllenhaal looks just like him.
Vector Perkins and Simon Helberg
In Despicable Me, Vector Perkins is geeky, smart, a little odd, and sports a bowl-cut.
In The Big Bang Theory, Howard Wolowitz, played by Simon Helberg, is all of those things as well.
While the two characters are quite different, the physical similarities between 3D animation and actor are quite striking - to the point where it's difficult not to stop and stare for a while.
Carl Fredrickson and Martin Scorsese
While the character design of Carl Fredrickson in the 2009 movie Up was partially inspired by legendary Hollywood actor Spencer Tracy, there's a different movie personality out there who seems uncannily similar to him as well.
The legendary director Martin Scorsese, much like Carl, has silvery gray hair, an impressive jawline and a penchant for wearing black, thick framed glasses.
Compare the two side by side and the effect is uncanny; they look almost exactly like the same person!
Snow White and Katy Perry
Disney's Snow White was released in 1937, and the character design of Snow White was based on the beauty standards of the time.
Fast forward to over 70 years later, and Katy Perry is a huge star, thanks to both her musical and performing talents, as well as to her objectively gorgeous looks.
It really makes you think, doesn't it?
So many decades later, with beauty standards changing over and over again - it seems like some looks are destined to remain classic forever.
Mr. Spacely and Danny Devito
We all remember Mr. Cosmo Spacely, George's boss from The Jetsons, don't we?
Short statured, bald and with a temper big enough for seven people, Mr. Spacely would often fire George in a fit of rage, only to hire him back again by the end of the episode.
If we had to cast a live-action version of The Jetsons today, we know exactly who we'd pick to place Spacely; of course, it would have to be none other than Danny Devito.
Shaggy Rogers and Haley Joel Osment
We all remember Haley Joel Osment as a child actor - and particularly, for his masterful performance in The Sixth Sense. But he's grown up since then - as has his hair - and today, some might accidentally recognize him for a different character altogether.
That's right, Haley Joel Osment is the spitting image of Scooby Doo's Shaggy Rogers, complete with messy hair and worried smile!
Esmerelda and Tyra Banks
In Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Roma dancer Esmeralda's beauty is cited as the reason for igniting the passions of Judge Claude Frollo, sending all of the characters down a tragic path of difficulty and struggle.
But while blaming Esmeralda's beauty for Frollo's problems may not be a fair thing to do, it seems that in an attempt to make the character beautiful, the film's creators hit the jackpot.
Whether they intended to or not, they managed to make her the spitting image of supermodel Tyra Banks.
Kristoff and Cody Simpson
We all fell in love with the character of Kristoff in Frozen, but what if we told you there's a real person who looks just like him?
Australian fans of the movie might already know this, but Cody Simpson, a singer-songwriter and actor who hails from Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, is actually the perfect doppelgänger of the Scandinavian-looking Disney character.
The two even play guitar in the same way!
Homer Simpson and Paul Giamatti
While he's not yellow, and has more than two hairs on the top of his head, Paul Giamatti is still very, very similar to Homer Simpson, the cultural hero and icon from the famed long running animated tv show.
It seems the actor is similar to Homer in more than just looks, though; with movies like Thunderpants under his belt, Paul Giamatti also shares Homer's penchant for inappropriate fart jokes.
Oscar and Will Smith
In animated movies that enlist the talent of major celebrities, it's not uncommon to lend the characters they voice a likeness similar to that of their actors.
We've already seen examples in movies like Wreck-It Ralph, Happy Feet and Madagascar, and Shark Tale is no exception.
When Will Smith lent his voice acting talents to the character, the animators went ahead and created a fish as similar as they could possibly make to the former Fresh Prince star. The result is uncanny - and cute!
Mulan and Jamie Chung
In 1998, Disney released Mulan, a refreshingly feminist and unorthodox - for Disney, that is - tale of a girl taking her father's place in the army, and saving all of China thanks to her special abilities.
In 2020, a live action version of the film is scheduled to be released, starring the Chinese-American actress Liu Yifei in the leading role - but if, for some reason, she would have to drop out, Jamie Chung would be an amazing replacement in our opinion.
Hans and Sam Claflin
While we were all, initially, rooting for Hans in Frozen - spoiler alert - he turned out to be quite a villian in the end.
Still, up until that point, he felt like a pretty great Disney prince for Anna, and for that reason, we don't mind saying that the talented Sam Claflin would be a perfect fit to portray him in a live action version of the movie.
Hiccup Haddock and Andrew Garfield
The How to Train Your Dragon film series is exciting, full of adventure and magic, and portrays an amazing magical world full of dragon-riding Vikings.
Their leader? The quirky but charismatic and thoughtful Hiccup Haddock.
Hiccup leads his tribe, and helps them transition from fearing and fighting dragons to embracing their friendship and help.
His sincere, open-minded inclusivity is an inspiration and helps make him a real role model for kids all over the world, and we think that Andrew Garfield looks just like him!
Luanne Platter and Jennifer Lawrence
King of the Hill brought us a slew of zany, all-American characters that reminded many of us of the types of people we meet in suburban America.
One of these was Luanne Leanne Platter Kleinschmidt, Peggy's niece and daughter to her scheming twin brother.
Luanne was a complex character - and expert mechanic and great at logic puzzles, despite her "airhead" reputation - and the more we look at her next to Jennifer Lawrence, the more we think they look a lot alike.
Aladdin and Zayn Malik
Although Aladdin was played by the Canadian Menna Masoud in the 2019 Disney live-action remake of their classic animation, we think that if they ever decided to remake it again, Zayn Malik would be an amazing choice for the role.
We know he can sing, and he looks almost exactly like the cartoon character.
We don't know who we'd cast as the genie, though!
Pinocchio and Chris Colfer
Chris Colfer, who became famous thanks to his portrayal of Kurt Hummel on Glee, is a real boy.
But if they ever decide, for whatever reason, to make a wooden doll based on his likeness, and then drew that doll in Disney style, we know exactly what that doll would look like.
From a different angle, if Disney's Pinocchio ever truly turned into a really real boy, Chris Colfer would probably be what he looked like when he grew up!
Lion-O and Carrot Top
The intrepid leader of the ThunderCats, Lion-O, was first designed as a Mattel action figure before he was turned into a cartoon character.
We don't know, but we suspect that Carrot Top, with his love of props and flaming red hair, might have inspired that action figure.
Just look at the two side by side - the resemblance is undeniable!
Although we do think that Carrot Top is probably a little funnier than the stoic ThunderCat leader.
