Shiva Keshavan will once again be the only Indian in action today at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Alpine Skiing and Cross-Country Skiing will take place today, but neither Himanshu Thakur nor Nadeem Iqbal are participating in the specific events line up under those sports on Day 2 of the Games.
Here is the schedule for Indian athletes in action today at the Winter Olympics:
8 pm (IST)
Luge – Shiva Keshavan – Heat 3, Men’s singles run
10 pm (IST)
Luge – Shiva Keshavan – Heat 4, Men’s singles run
The 32 year-old Keshavan stands in 37th place after the first two heats yesterday. He finished in 35th place at the end of the first heat, but had a disappointing run in the second heat, which caused him to drop further down the order to 37th. The Indian will try his level best to up his pace today so that he can finish in the top 30 and perhaps equal or better his best Olympic performance – a 25th place finish at Turin in 2006.
