In only her sixth game with the Liberty, Ionescu achieved a significant milestone. She was the first woman to record the first triple-double in the team's history and became the youngest WNBA player to achieve the same. In the same year, her outstanding play helped the Liberty to reach the playoffs.

The 2022 season saw Ionescu continue to break records. She was the first WNBA player to surpass 500 points, 200 rebounds, and 200 assists in a single season. Also, Ionescu set another record of first every 30 triple-doubles.

Now in 2024, Ionescu remains a key player for the Liberty. She's averaging 18.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game, showcasing her all-around skills and continuing to be a driving force for her team.
