#2 - Fresh faces and new matches
Shane McMahon promised new Superstars, more opportunities, and fresh match-ups when given control of Raw and wasted no time in introducing the likes of Apollo Crews and Enzo & Cass to the main roster.
This must continue on both Raw and Smackdown in the ’New Era’ for the product to keep feeling fresh and exciting. It will be interesting to see how NXT is utilised post-brand split as they are rumoured to be losing many of their top talent in the draft.
But this will give WWE a new way to introduce talent from their developmental system with the separate brands bidding for NXT’s hottest superstars, and also allow them to maintain a steady flow of new faces on the flagship shows.
Also, rumours of WWE contacting former talent to flesh out the roster should be a method they exploit long-term; that way they can rekindle old feuds or set-up exciting matches between stars from different eras that fans never thought they’d get the chance to see.
