Yogeshwar Dutt secured India’s fourth gold medal of the 2014 Asian Games. The Indian wrestler defeated Zalimkhan Yusupov of Tajikistan in the men's freestyle 65kg category.
Having overcomed several injuries, due to which Dutt could not participate at the 2010 Asian Games, Dutt made the most of his chances in Incheon this time around. His quick speed, agility and muscular prowess proved too much to handle for Yusupov.
Dutt gained a 1-0 lead and the score remained at the score for a while. It was a very slender lead and with two minutes left in the bout, the match could have gone either way. Both wrestlers tried their best to take their opponent out of the circle. Dutt managed keep his cool and won the match by a single point lead.
