Edge vs Ric Flair, TLC Match for the WWE Championship, Raw 16/1/2006

‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair challenged the ‘Rated R-Superstar’ Edge for his WWE Championship, in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match on WWE Raw event at Raleigh, North Carolina on January 16, 2006. In an extremely physical match that contained plenty of high spots, both men gave it their all to try and win this match. Edge’s splash on Flair from the top of a 25 ft. ladder, sending Flair through a table at ringside, was a key moment of this match. Edge’s girlfriend Lita played a crucial role in the outcome of this match as she prevented Flair from unhooking the championship hanging above the ring. This allowed Edge to recuperate and gain momentum to throw Flair down to the ground. He earned a famous victory over one of the great of this business and was an integral part of one of the most incredible TLC matches in history.
