WWE Chairman Vince McMahon Relieved Of His Duties; Triple H Takes Over The Reigns

At the end of an epic Monday Night Raw on 18/7/2011 at Green Bay, Wisconsin, Legendary WWE Superstar and the son-in-law of Vince McMahon, Triple H, interrupted Vince’s conversation with John Cena, to inform him that the Board of Directors of WWE have decided to relieve him of his duties as the Chairman of the company. Triple H also added that the Board of Directors have made the decision to hand over the duties of taking care of day-to-day activities of the WWE to him[Triple H].

“I’m here to inform you, Vince, that you’re relieved of your duties,”

The 13 time WWE Champion, also added that the reason for the sudden decision was because of Vince’s recent irresponsible activities which have brought damage to the company. The Game said that the Board had accused Vince for mishandling the recent turn of events including the CM Punk saga .

In an action-filled Monday Night Raw, the final of the WWE Championship Tournament was about to take place when Vince entered the ring as said that the final had been postponed to next week. He said that he was there to discuss about something more important than the match at that instant. He even stressed that the WWE was bigger than any other thing including legendary wrestlers like John Cena, Rey Mysterio etc. He criticized John Cena for losing to CM Punk at Money in the Bank. He said that he does not regret about Cena getting fired and added that he has the capability to create another John Cena or even 10 more John Cena’s. He was interrupted by John Cena who came to the ring and told Vince that he did want to feel the pain that Shawn Michaels had to bear for so many years after Bret Hart was screwed out of the WWE Championship at Survivor Series 1997. He even said that if he had won the WWE Championship by screwing CM Punk, then the Championship would be meaningless. He also stressed on the fact that he loved the business. After that, when Vince was to announce that John Cena was fired, Triple H interrupted and entered into the ring. This is the first time that Triple H had come to a televised WWE event after his gruelling loss to the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27.

The Cerebral Assasin, Triple H, began by saying that he had attended a Board of Directors meeting at the WWE Headquarter on that morning. He struggled to get the words out of his mouth and spoke in a somber mood. He then announced publicly that Vince was relieved of all his duties in the company and it was a collective decision which was agreed by the family also. He then continued, saying that the Board had decided to hand over the charge of taking care of daily activities to another person. After a slight hesitation he announced that the person would be himself [Triple H].

“I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but, Vince … it’s me,”

This made the arrogant WWE Chairman to sob and cry. Triple H said that extremely questionable decisions made by Vince forced the board to act on it and take a stand on it. Tears rolled out of Vince’s eyes as The Game addressed the John Cena issue by saying that John Cena will not be fired. He also added that Vince would not have to make any further decisions in the future. He left the ring in anguish as Vince McMahon stood inside the ring in shock and anguish. The WWE universe was shell shocked by the sudden turn of events and gave a warm farewell to Vince by chanting “Thank You Vince!”.
