Evan Bourne, Goldberg, Lesnar & more

Evan Bourne Update

- WWE-TNA Lawsuit Update: In the TNA vs. WWE lawsuit, the temporary restraining order against WWE was officially dissolved on June 8th after WWE’s recent statements to the court about how they searched their computer network for evidence of the file that former WWE/TNA employee Brian Wittenstein had with confidential TNA information. The order against Wittenstein is still in effect, demanding that he return any confidential information and not tamper with it or destroy it.

WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt recently sent a letter to TNA legal counsel Erika Blonquist. The letter was filed with the court last week and can be read below:

“First, and as I advised you orally on the phone during our recent conference call, WWE has not solicited Ric Flair to leave TNA and enter into a contract with WWE. WWE has made no offer to Flair and has no intention of doing so.Second, as I also advised you, WWE has not solicited any other current TNA talent to repudiate their contracts and enter into a contract with WWE. WWE has no interest in current TNA talent.”

- Evan Bourne Update: Evan Bourne posted the following injury update on Tuesday: “More xrays taken today! My bones look good in the right light. Physical therapy starts next week….finally!”

- Goldberg Tweets: Bill Goldberg wrote the following on Twitter:

“WWE or TNA ……anytime fans would chant my name years after I’ve retired ….it’s an honor. Glass half-full.”

- Brock Lesnar News: WWE sources almost universally believe that Lesnar has an iron-clad deal and there is no way he can fight for UFC until that contract expires after WrestleMania 29 in 2013. In UFC, people are insisting that Lesnar’s WWE deal is non-exclusive and that he and White were discussing a potential fight during their recent meeting.

Not everyone in UFC thinks Lesnar will fight with the feeling that even if his WWE contract allowed him to fight, his heart really isn’t into MMA and this is all some sort of ploy by Lesnar to increase his bargaining power or leverage with WWE.
