Former TNA star and current ROH World Champion, Jay Lethal, reached an astonishing milestone this Saturday – reports Wrestlinginc.

Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal has reached a milestone of being the champion for one year. His 365 day reign came to a full circle this Saturday and it is an astonishing milestone to achieve in the independent circuit. The reign is the longest since 2009 and the fourth longest in the history of pro-wrestling.

It is also to be noted that Lethal also held the ROH World TV Title for over 400 days leading up to the title victory prior to this. This unprecedented accomplishment of Lethal has left him holding a title for a company over 805 days in a row. During his 567 day reign as ROH World TV Champion, he has successfully defended the championship for 36 times. Lethal is also one of the three wrestlers to win Triple Crown Championships in Ring of Honor.

Lethal captured the ROH World Championship by defeating Jay Briscoe in a winner take all “Battle of the Belts” at Best in the World 2015 PPV. Lethal has successfully defended his championship ever since that night and is now soon becoming a legend of his own in the independent circuit.
