The Money in the Bank ladder match held at Wrestlemania 23 was the first to feature more than 6 participants. It had eight superstars from Raw, Smackdown and ECW namely CM Punk, Edge, Finlay, Mr. Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, King Booker and Randy Orton. Mr. Kennedy won that match, but ended up losing his contract to Edge after losing a match to him. Edge successfully cashed in the briefcase for the second time – this time winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
