Post-Raw updates, Lesnar's return date and more

New MITB Match Announced: On Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Alberto Del Rio will face Sheamus at Money in the Bank. Del Rio was slated to face Sheamus at No Way Out, until he was diagnosed with a concussion.

Bret Hitman Hart on 1000th Raw?: According to PWTorch, WWE ran advertisements during Raw in the St. Louis area tonight, promoting the return of Bret “the Hitman” Hart during WWE’s big 1,000th episode on July 23rd.

It should be noted that Bret Hart is a former General Manager and authority figure for Raw, and eligible to return as a special guest GM for both Raw and Smackdown, in the weeks leading up to the 1,000th episode.

Lesnar’s Return Date: As announced by Paul Heyman in a pre-recorded segment for Episode of WWE Raw Supershow (02 July 2012), Brock Lesnar will make his return to the company during the 1,000th Episode, a 3-hour special. Lesnar will address Triple H and his challenge to a Match at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.

Wrestlers Released: Former WWE and TNA wrestler Shannon Moore posted the following on his official Twitter account earlier today, confirming his release from TNA Wrestling:

“Just want to let you all know I asked for my release from TNA and they granted me my release. Wanted you all to hear it from me. Thanks all”

Angelina Love also released.

Angelina Love, an original member of TNA Wrestling’s Knockouts division, announced Sunday via Twitter that she has been granted her release from the organization.

“To all my wonderful fans, just want to let you know I have been granted my release from TNA,” she wrote. “It was completely amicable parting of ways, and I want to thank TNA and all of its employees for the wonderful journey I’ve had there over the years. Now I’m on to the next amazing chapter of my life! If you are looking to book me please contact John at [email protected] Thank you so much!”

Love is a record-setting five-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion, and a former one-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Winter. She works on the independent circuit as Angel Williams.

Battle Royal for Super SmackDown: It was announced on Raw that the winner of the 20 man Battle Royal on “Smackdown: The Great American Bash” will become the Interim General Manager next week for Smackdown.

The Battle Royal includes CM Punk, John Cena, Big Show, and many more main event superstars.

Maxine Added to WWE.COM: Maxine’s profile on WWE.com has been transferred to the Alumni index after the Tampa, Florida native announced Friday, on Twitter, that both parties have come to terms on her contract release. WWE, however, has not released an official statement regarding her departure from the organization.

According to PWInsider.com, Maxine quit WWE due to frustrations with “not being offered a guaranteed deal, and not having the chance to prove herself on TV beyond the WWE NXT level.” She continues a trend that began last year of female talent leaving WWE of their own accord, which includes Michelle McCool, Gail Kim, Maryse, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella.
