No Way Out is back after a bit of a hiatus, and if WWE can keep up their streak of awesome pay-per-views, NWO is sure to be a great event. But what matches are we going to see at the pay-per-view? Well I can’t tell you for sure, but I can no doubt speculate. Here are the matches that I predict (sometimes fantasize) will happen at No Way Out.
Sin Cara vs. Alberto Del RioI know what you’re thinking, but here me out first. Sin Cara returned to action at a house show the day before Over The Limit. That means he is ready to come back at anytime he wants to. Alberto Del Rio is probably out of the World Heavyweight Title picture now. Why don’t we pair the two Mexican superstars in a match together? It would make boatloads of sense. And since the two reportedly have legitimate heat with each other, we could get a good intense match out of them. I doubt Sin Cara’s botching powers can happen in the hands of Alberto Del Rio, right? Right?
William Regal vs. Chris JerichoThis is probably another match most of you think I’m nuts for thinking up. This is also another match that I’m also 2% certain will happen. But Chris Jericho has been left with nothing to do, and William Regal has started one of those “Twitter feuds” with the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n Rollah, and if WWE is smart, they should capitalize on this. Chris Jericho is no doubt one of the best wrestlers of all time, and believe it or not, the always overlooked William Regal happens to be on of the best technicians on the roster. The guy trained Daniel Bryan for God’s sakes! This match would be a dream for the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community), and a great treat for any casual wrestling fan who hasn’t had the chance to see William Regal wrestle. Look me dead in the eye and tell me you wouldn’t want to see this match?
Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Primo & EpicoIn what is probably my first prediction that will most likely happen, Kingston and Truth will defend their titles against former champions Primo and Epico. Primo and Epico, under the guidance of AW, have been watching Kofi Kingston and R-Truth from afar, and it seems like they are ready to cash in their rematch clause.
Santino Marella vs. David OtungaWe’ve all been waiting a long time to see a Santino Marella vs. David Otunga pay-per-view match. Not because we all want to see it, just because it makes a lot of sense. Santino has only defended his title one or two times, and the perfect person to challenge for his title has just come back to the WWE after dealing with some family issues. Like I said before, this match doesn’t seem that exciting, it just makes sense.
Christian vs. Cody RhodesThis one doesn’t need any explaining. Christian turned face and won the IC title at Over The Limit (which I called by the way), and Cody Rhodes has a rematch clause. Unless he cashes it in on Raw or Smackdown, we’ll be seeing these two clash again at No Way Out.
Sheamus vs. Randy OrtonI’m going to be honest, I wanted Jericho to win at Over The Limit. When Sheamus kicked his head off and retained the title, I wanted there to be a Sheamus/Jericho feud. But when the camera zoomed in on a pissed off Orton just staring into the camera, I knew that the WWE wasn’t done with the Orton/Sheamus feud. In a rare face vs. face instance (unless somebody turns heel *cough* Orton *cough*), Sheamus vs. Orton seems like the next logical step for the World Heavyweight Championship picture.
CM Punk vs. Daniel BryanI don’t think I need to explain this one either. Due to the screwjob finish, it’s only logical that these two face off again at No Way Out. I think we can all agree that we don’t mind seeing these two clash again.
