- TV Networks are not too sure about striking a deal with TNA. Not just because it is pro wrestling but also because it has a negative stigma of being a show dropped by Spike TV recently.
- Other networks are wondering why TNA was dropped by Spike TV when the TV ratings weren’t really that bad. The show was always drawing between 1 million and 1.4 million viewers each week. Word around the TV industry reveals that Spike TV only decided to drop Impact Wrestling because of their lack of confidence in TNA’s ability to grow in future as a company.
- Also, the numbers were declining due to the Vince Russo debacle and it is hard to argue the fact that Spike TV dropped the show at just the right time. However, Spike TV have publicly denied Russo being a factor in their decision to pull the plug off the deal.
