Money In The Bank was, well, interesting. It featured some awesome matches, some uncomfortable botches, some filler matches, and a lot of predictability. Overall, Money In The Bank was a solid 7.2, but if WWE made a few tweaks to the event (Punk vs. Bryan in the main event), the whole show could have been a lot better. Well, it’s time to hand out awards for the night.
Best Match Award
The Best Match Award goes to the best match that took place at Money In The Bank 2012
Winner: CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan
Honestly, you could have these guys face each other at every pay-per-view and you wouldn’t get tired of it. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk managed to pull off another phenomenal match on Sunday, and because of the No Disqualification stipulation, they also put on a show that was completely different from their Over The Limit encounter. The match featured tables, kendo sticks, chairs, and a whole lot of awesome.
Best Feud Award
The Best Feud Award goes to the individuals who participated in the best rivalry that culminated or progressed at Money In The Bank 2012.
Winner: CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan
What else would it be? After the inclusion of AJ, this 3 month saga has been the most interesting and compelling storyline in wrestling this year, and although many feel that we were not given closure to the story at the end of the match, it still sure beats Alberto vs. Sheamus.
Best Diva Award
The Best Diva Award goes to the Diva who excelled the most at Money In The Bank 2012 and the events leading up to it.
Winner: AJ
Do I need to explain? AJ has propelled herself into the hearts and top tens of many wrestling fans over the past few months, so it was only a matter of time before she found herself here.
The Biggest Loser award goes to the individual who has failed the most at No Way Out 2012 and the events leading up to it.
Winner (or loser): Jack Swagger
Let’s see, who in the WWE is a former World Heavyweight Champion AND former ECW Champion. Christian, CM Punk, Big Show, Mark Henry, aaaaaaaaaaaaand Jack Swagger. One of these guys is not like the other! Jack Swagger, who as you see has had his fair share of gold in the WWE, has been jobbing right and left. That should probably stop.
Best Superstar
The Best Superstar award goes to the individual who has excelled the most at Money In The Bank 2012 and the events leading up to it.
Winner: CM Punk
Best feud, best match, WWE champion? Those are all the type of things that would get you this award.
