After months of rumors, it looks like TNA president Dixie Carter has finally found someone who can help her with the financial problems.
PWInsider has reported that TNA's current Senior Producer of Creative & Talent Development Billy Corgan, will be buying some stocks to become a minority owner of the company. Dixie, however, will remain the majority owner, meaning she will retain the ownership of the company as she wanted. It is not clear yet whether the deal has been done or not, as the reports are conflicting.
Born in 1967, Billy Corgan became famous after he started his own band named The Smashing Pumpkins back in 1987. Currently, he is the lead singer of the band. He joined TNA as the Senior Wrestling Producer in 2015. His current role in the company is to create new storylines and develop characters.
There is no news about the money involved in the deal, but still it should be enough to solve some of TNA's financial problems for now. It's notable that TNA was in some serious financial crisis earlier this year when they released almost half of their active roster. There is no news on how it will impact the company, but any major changes are not expected as the ownership will remain on Dixie's hand.
