Recently, CM Punk made his entrance with a new theme song “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour, which created a lot of buzz among wrestling fans. So I just thought of this idea to rank the top 10 theme songs used by WWE Superstars in the present.
‘Say it to my face’ is a hard rock song which perfectly suits the persona of A-RY, the former protege of the Miz. Incidentally, The Miz’s theme song “I Came to Play” is also by Downstait. Wonder if its just coincidence or intentionally decided.
A really good song which leaves a mark on you, the first time you listen to it.
Though Drew McIntyre might not be at his best in the ring currently, his theme song is one of the best in the WWE. The song might be slow paced initially, but gains momentum of finishes with a bang.
A suprising no.7 for Zack Ryder’s theme simply because of the fact that it perfectly syncs with his persona and attire!
Many argue that the Orton’s earlier theme was better than the current song. However, people fail to note that this theme has elevated Randy’s stature to a main eventer because of the meaningful lyrics which portray his character.
As much as I hate John Cena, I like his theme song because of its peppy lyrics. But this theme has been there for a while. Its time is up. John, go get a new one.
One of my all time favorites. Though ‘King of Kings’ would have been the perfect choice, I went ahead with the game by motorhead simply because he uses it at present. Moreover, it has been his theme for a long time since the attitude era and it was instrumental in the success of Triple H as an entertainer.
Can’t leave this one, right? Every time I listen to this song, it doesn’t cease to impress me. Kudos to CM Punk for going ahead with a song from a band from the 80′s and being successful in making an impression with it.
This song has earned the distinction of being one of the most underrated entrance themes in the WWE. The song is actually fantastic with meaningful lyrics which suit Christian’s persona.
‘I came to be play’ is indeed ‘AWESOME’. It is one of main factors behind the rise of The Miz from a mid carder to the main event status. The best in my opinion.
A few songs which missed to make the list by a slim margin were:
Dolph Ziggler – “I Am Perfection”
Kane – “Slow Chemical”
Alberto Del Rio – “Realezza”
Evan Bourne – “Born to Fly”
Jack Swagger – “Get down on your knees”
