Various WWE news tidbits and notes

- In a previous article, I mentioned several names that were being bantered back and forth in regards to inductees for the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2013. Well, one more name is rumored to go in this year, possibly in the “celebrity wing”, and that is Andy Kaufman. The comedian got involved in wrestling in the very early 1980s, even before the first Wrestlemania, and is considered by many to be the first true cross-over star to come from Hollywood into pro wrestling. His feud with WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler is legendary (the idea conjured up collectively by the two, who were close friends in real life), and rumor has it this may be why Lawler is getting so much on-screen time lately, including his high-profile feud with current WWE Champion CM Punk.

- Some people have been wondering why exactly Ryback, despite being pushed as a monster and remaining undefeated for several months now, is not getting to step up and take on more established/high profile WWE wrestlers. In what some might call a rare occurrence of logic, WWE is holding off advancing the character because they don’t want to screw things up. In a company known for hotshotting angles, feuds and characters, this is certainly a rarity.

- I recently reported that current WWE Diva Cameron was arrested for DUI. Apparently, there is more to this story. New details have surfaced from the official police report. According to the report, Cameron’s blood-alcohol level was a .20, over twice the legal limit, and when informed she was going to be arrested, the diva apparently attempted to bribe the arresting officer $10,000.00 in hopes that she would be let go, as she was afraid the arrest would cost her her job. Cameron also had a male passenger in the car with her, who confirms that they had been drinking (martinis, specifically) before driving home, although this passenger’s identity has yet to be revealed. Thus far, WWE has remained relatively quiet on the subject, with a representative stating the following: “Ariane (Cameron) did not alert us on this matter, we are investigating and will take appropriate action.” Based on this, there is a very strong possibility that one half of the “Funkadactyls” will be losing her job very soon.

- Bray Wyatt will be returning to NXT on September 22nd. The former Husky Harris has been out of action for nearly six months, recovering from a torn pec. Wyatt hinted that he would be returning with some other people, saying via Twitter that, “Time to change the world. I will no longer be alone, i want to introduce you to my family”
