VIDEO: The incident that lead to Chris Jericho's 30 day suspension

During a recent WWE live event at São Paulo, Brazil, CM Punk and Chris Jericho were about to face off in a singles match. WWE Champion CM Punk had a Brazilian flag in hand. He was waving it to get the crowd going. But, Jericho, in his heel character, snatched the flag, dropped it down on the mat and kicked it. Local Law enforcement authorities were shocked at Jericho’s behavior. They immediately stopped the show and asked Jericho to apologize, which he did. Jericho wasn’t aware of the fact that denigrating the national flag is a punishable offence in Brazil. WWE stated that the flag incident wasn’t pre-planned and suspended Chris Jericho for 30 days.
