Yes folks, it is true! ‘The next big thing’ is expected to make an impact at Wrestlemania 28. The rumor mill has it that Brock Lesnar recently signed a 1-year contract with the WWE which enables him to take part in this year’s Wrestlemania.
Brock Lesnar was the hottest star in the WWE during his initial stint (2002-04). However, he lost interest and tried different options like NFL and UFC. He subsequently announced his retirement from UFC in December 2011. This had fuelled rumors of him making a comeback to the WWE but it didn’t happen. Apparently, the time has come now for Brock to enter into the squared circle again.
Brock Lesnar arrived in Miami, Florida yesterday, just a few hours before Wrestlemania 28. He was flanked by a lot of security personnel shielding him during his arrival. WWE hasn’t made any sort of announcement regarding Brock Lesnar’s return or his participation in Wrestlemania.
If Brock Lesnar is going to take part in Wrestlemania, there is a possibility that he will be gatecrashing one of the two big matches on the card. The first one would be the biggest match on the card ‘John Cena vs The Rock‘. A few days ago, The Rock was asked about possibly taking on Brock Lesnar in a match. The Great One gave an interesting reply,
“I’m not saying a thing,” said a grinning Johnson with his eyebrow raised after being asked about a possible encounter with Lesnar. “I didn’t say anything.”
The Rock may have been aware of WWE’s negotiations with Brock Lesnar during that point of time. But it might just be speculation.
Another match that Lesnar could interfere would be the End of an Era match between Undertaker and Triple H. The confrontation that Lesnar and Undertaker had in early 2011 had fueled rumors of a possible Wrestlemania match between them. By interfering this time around, those two could possibly face off at Wrestlemania 29.
With WWE eager to announce a marquee match for Wrestlemania 29 very soon, there is a high probability that it might involve Brock Lesnar. Even if Lesnar does not appear at Wrestlemania, he may make an appearance on the Raw after Wrestlemania on Monday.
If Brock comes back at Wrestlemania, it is likely that he will be a regular in WWE fixtures for the next 12 months leading up to Wrestlemania 29. ‘The next big thing’ is sure to make an impact during this period.
Get ready to be surprised at Wrestlemania!
