WWE Extreme Rules 2012 PPV held at the Allstate Arena in Chicago turned out to be an enthralling event. Most of the matches were awesome and the crowd was electric throughout the event. Two new champions were crowned. Here are the results in brief.

Match 1: Santino Marella defeated The Miz in a singles match to retain his United States Championship.

Match 2: Randy Orton defeated Kane in the falls count anywhere match.

Match 3: Dolph Ziggler was beaten by the ‘Funkasaurus’ Brodus Clay in a singles match.

Match 4: Cody Rhodes became the new Intercontinental Champion after Big Show went through the table in a tables match.

Match 5: Sheamus retained his World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Daniel Bryan in the 2 out of 3 falls match.

Match 6: Ryback squashed Aaron Relic & Jay Hatton in a handicap match.

Match 7: WWE Champion CM Punk won the Chicago Street Fight against Chris Jericho.

Match 8: Layla defeated Nikki Bella to become the new Divas Champion.

Match 9: John Cena defeated Brock Lesnar in the Extreme Rules match.

John Cena spoke after his victory stating that he is going to take a vacation since his left arm was injured. He thanked the crowd for the support and left the ring with blood all over his face.
