Checkout Power Rankings for this week.
1. Sheamus —>The Celtic Warrior collected a spectacular trifecta this week. He defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio at Night of Champions and then scored victories in tag team action on Raw and SmackDown. Plus, now that the Brogue Kick is legal once more, who would dare step in Sheamus’ way as he continues to mow down the competition?
2. Cm Punk —> Neither The Rock nor the Money in the Bank contract nor Big Show nor John Cena in front of his hometown crowd stays The Second City Saint from his continued reign as WWE Champion. CM Punk benefitted from the WWE rulebook at Night of Champions, but he’s still the titleholder and rapidly approaching his one-year anniversary at the top.
3. John Cena —> A draw at Night of Champions cost John Cena a chance at reclaiming the WWE Championship from CM Punk. Now, the Cenation leader can stew over the controversial finish for a few weeks as he recovers from elbow surgery.
4. Alberto Del Rio —> The Mexican Aristocrat let another opportunity to clinch the World Heavyweight Championship slip away at Night of Champions. Of course, it didn’t help that SmackDown General Manager Booker T reinstated Sheamus’ Brogue Kick at the last moment, but that’s still no excuse.
5. Kane & Daniel Bryan —> Kane & Daniel Bryan can clearly channel their anger issues into good use, as evidenced by the hot-headed duo defeating Kofi Kingston & R-Truth to seize the WWE Tag Team Championship at Night of Champions. Now if they could add a “we” to their “I am the champions!” proclamation, they could really be dangerous for the foreseeable future.
6. Randy Orton —> WWE’s Apex Predator continues his recent run of success with a strong performance against Dolph Ziggler at Night of Champions and an impressive encore in tag team action on SmackDown.
7. Ryback —> While the WWE Universe needs no introduction to Ryback’s power, The Miz likely did not appreciate seeing it firsthand after the fledgling brute hurled a couch in The Awesome One’s direction on Raw.
8. Brodus Clay —> The Funkasaurus rode the boogie all the way into the top 10 this week by showing off his strength and style against Heath Slater on Raw and SmackDown.
9. Damien Sandow —> Damien Sandow made quite an impact this week with impressive wins over Zack Ryder on Raw and Kane on SmackDown, though being hit with a steel chair 19 times on the latter likely wasn’t fun for him
10. Kofi Kingston & R-Truth —> Kofi Kingston & R-Truth now need to refer to their WWE Tag Team Championship reign in the past tense, having lost the titles at Night of Champions and the rematch on Raw.
11. Dolph Ziggler —> The Showoff drops out of the top 10 this week due to his Night of Champions loss to Randy Orton and a tag team loss on SmackDown.
12. The Miz —> The Most Must-See Intercontinental Champion barrels his way into the top 15 after successfully defending his illustrious title at Night of Champions against three formidable challengers.
13. Eve —> The newly crowned Divas Champion skyrockets up the rankings after her surprising entry and enormous victory at Night of Champions.
14. Antonio Cesaro —> Despite his loss to Santino Marella Friday night, the United States Champion holds steady in the top 15 because of his successful title defense against Zack Ryder at Night of Champions.
15. Santino Marella —> After suffering a loss to Dolph Ziggler on Raw, The Milan Miracle scored a satisfying victory over U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro on SmackDown.
16. Big Show —> The World’s Largest Athlete falls down the rankings this week due to in-ring inactivity.
17. Layla —> The former Divas Champion lost the big one to surprise opponent Eve at Night of Champions, dropping her prestigious title as a result.
18. Sin Cara —> The Mexican Superstar had a week that mirrored that of Rey Mysterio, losing at Night of Champions, but picking up a tag team win Monday night.
19. Rey Mysterio —> The Ultimate Underdog jumps up one spot as he bounced back from a Night of Champions loss with a tag team victory on Raw.
20. Prime Time Players —> It was a nice bounce back week for The Prime Time Players, picking up a victory over The Usos on “WWE Superstars.”
21. Kaitlyn —> It’s safe to say that it’s been a tough week for the tough-as-nails Diva. Riding the largest momentum wave of her career heading into Night of Champions as No. 1 contender, Kaitlyn suffered a mysterious injury backstage, forcing her to be scratched from the match.
22. Cody Rhodes —> The grandson of a plumber stays put this week, as Cody failed to capitalize on an opportunity to reclaim the Intercontinental Title at Night of Champions, but defeated Daniel Bryan on SmackDown.
23. Wade Barrett —> The Barrett Barrage was in full force Monday night on Raw, as the bare-knuckle brawler decimated Justin Gabriel in a physical battle.
24. David Otunga —> Ricardo Rodriguez’s legal counsel , David Otunga, lawyers his way back onto the rankings this week after a victory over Tyson Kidd on “WWE Superstars.”
25. Zack Ryder —> It was a rollercoaster week for Long Island Iced-Z. After a big win at the Night of Champions Pre-Show Battle Royal, Ryder went on to lose his match against Antonio Cesaro with the U.S. Title on the line.
