Milestones are always special. This week, WWE Monday Night Raw celebrates a very special milestone as it is the 1000th episode. Every Monday night since January 13, 1993, WWE Raw has been entertaining us and as it crosses the 1000 mark one can only hope that it will continue to do so. The future is always uncertain but the present seems to be promising. We have plenty of action in store for us on Raw 1000, which has a PPV feel to it.

Raw extends to 3 hours PERMANENTLY!

Starting this week, WWE Raw forays into uncharted territory as it will add an extra hour to its usual 2 hour time slot. While there might have been special 3-hour Raw’s in the past, they were simply one-off’s. But from this week, Raw will permanently be a 3 hour show. After nearly 19 years and 999 episodes later, Raw gets bigger and better.

Will John Cena create history or will CM Punk continue his stranglehold over the WWE Championship?

John Cena challenges CM Punk for the WWE Championship

John Cena is a man who keeps his word. Unlike any other superstar, John Cena has taken away the surprise element of the Money in the Bank briefcase and has announced a week earlier about his cash-in. He will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase for a WWE Championship match against the current WWE champion CM Punk. The million dollar question is ‘Is John Cena destined to be the first wrestler to cash-in the Money in the bank briefcase and lose?’. Also, CM Punk’s record breaking championship reign of 250+ days is also under serious threat, if one goes with the history of the Money in the Bank winners. The stakes are high in this match and is certainly the most important part of the show.

Daniel Bryan weds AJ!

YES! It is happening. Daniel Bryan and AJ are getting hitched on Raw. But, will Kane have a say in it? Marriages on Raw have always courted trouble and it will be interesting to see if this controversial couple manage to marry without any glitches. Either way, we have a surprise in store for us.

The Rock is back!

‘The Great One’ returns to Raw after a few months after his Wrestlemania 28 victory over John Cena. As promised on the Raw after Wrestlemania, the Brahma Bull wants to win the WWE championship and it is likely to be the first on his agenda. Will he pick a bone with CM Punk or will he go after John Cena in-case Cena wins the WWE Championship. This trio will be in the spotlight throughout Raw.

Brock returns to play the Game

While most of you might have forgotten about the Brock-Triple H angle which started after Extreme Rules, both men are likely to be involved in a match at Summerslam to settle their disputes. The storyline began with Triple H cancelling Brock Lesnar’s contract and then Brock broke Triple H’s arm. Then, Paul Heyman came out on behalf of Brock Lesnar only to announce that Brock Lesnar has quit the WWE and has filed a law suit against Triple H and WWE. A few weeks later, The Game challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at Summerslam to settle their issues. And now, Brock will address this issue on Raw. This storyline has been drab and WWE needs to spice things up if they are going to make it interesting.

DX Reunion

A Degeneration-X Reunion is scheduled to kick off Raw 1000 at St. Louis. Shawn Michaels, who turned 47 yesterday, is advertised to appear along with fellow DX members like Triple H and Road Dogg. Former DX members such as The New Age Outlaws and Sean “X-Pac” Waltman are also expected to be there.

Who will be the new permanent Raw GM?

WWE has announced that the new permanent Raw GM will be revealed at this historic show. The hype is that one among the interim GM’s – Mick Foley, Vickie Guerrero, Teddy Long, Zack Ryder and the anonymous GM (Horswoggle), might be in the running for the post. But, there is a possibility that an outsider might get to be the new GM. Someone like William Regal or Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels or even Edge might get the chance to run the show from next week. Jim Ross might also be in contention. So, who is it going to be? We will find out on Raw!

The Raw deck is stacked with plenty of aces. The only question is, will everything fall in place to make it one of the greatest Raw’s in history?

Don’t miss this historic Raw 1000.
