WWE Monday Night Raw Supershow on February 27, 2012 will be held in Portland, Oregan. The return of the great one – The Rock has been advertised for this show. With Cena’s epic promo rekindling everyone’s interest in this feud, what will be The Rock’s reaction? This is the main reason that you should tune in for tonight’s show.
The Rock’s reaction to Cena’s tirade
The strong words used by Cena at last week’s show will have their impact as the Brahma Bull will be making his first ever appearance in the city of Portland, Oregan. This Raw will be the first time that The Rock will be inside a WWE Ring since Survivor Series 2011 wherein he was involved in a tag-team match with John Cena against The Miz and R-Truth. Rock won that match by pinning the Miz. After that, he delivered a rock-bottom to John Cena signalling that he is awaiting Wrestlemania 28 for their match. What does the Rock have in store for John Cena, in the first of many appearances leading to the big match at Wrestlemania?
Mr. Funkasaurus expected to make his return
Brodus Clay, who has been in exile in planet funk for the last few weeks, is advertised to appear on Raw. The reason for his absence is still a mystery although several sources indicate that Vince was not happy with his in-ring work. What excuse will the writers come up with, to explain his noticeable absence? I’m intrigued to find out who will he be feuding with.
Champion vs Champion rematch?
At the Super Smackdown show on 21/2/2012, there was a controversial ending to the champion vs champion match between Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. Smackdown GM Teddy Long and Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis meddled with the finish of the match, leading to a dramatic end to the match. Yesterday, Raw GM John Laurinaitis sent a tweet conveying the message that he is thinking about a rematch on Raw. In reply to that, Smackdown GM Teddy Long said that he will be on Raw.
With the two managers at loggerheads, will the match happen? It is still unsure whether the rematch will take place or not. If it happens, we are in for a treat.
Triple H – Undertaker – Shawn Michaels details
After an epic confrontation between these two outlaws last week, A hell in a cell match was confirmed for Wrestlemania. But Undertaker’s smirk during his exit might have implications. The dampening factor is that neither Undertaker nor Shawn Michaels is scheduled to appear on Raw, this week. So we can expect Triple H to come out and give explanation on why he accepted Undertaker’s challenge or something similar to that. We will get to see these three in the next Raw on 5/3/2012 scheduled to be held at Boston, Massachusetts.
CM Punk – Chris Jericho saga
If there was one plus point of Chris Jericho’s epic return, it had to be his battle royal victory last week. Courtesy of that victory, Jericho earned the right to face CM Punk at Wrestlemania 28. We may get the verbal confrontation that we have been waiting for, when these two men meet face to face inside the ring.
Smackdown stars at the Supershow
Smackdown Superstars World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Big Show, and IC champion Cody Rhodes are all scheduled to be at the show. Besides, ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton, who is out with a concussion which will be assessed on the show, is also scheduled to appear.
Advertised Main events:
Two main events have been advertised for the live crowd in Portland. WWE champion CM Punk will take on Dolph Ziggler and John Cena will battle with Kane. These matches will likely be the dark matches of the show.
This week’s Monday Night Raw promises to be electrifying (pun intended). Make sure that you don’t miss it.
