The Twentieth Royal Rumble match was held on January 28, 2007 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. In the end, it all came down to two iconic wrestlers – Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. One man had tasted stupendous success in this type of matches and the other had never won it before. Hell froze over as the Phenom won the Royal Rumble match for the first time in his illustrious wrestling career. On the other hand, Shawn Michaels’ effort to win a third Royal Rumble match in front of his home crowd went in vain.

Here are some important facts about this match:
- The Undertaker won the Royal Rumble match for the first time in his career. His victory came after 16 years since he first participated in a Rumble match (1991).
- Undertaker also created history by being the first man to win the Royal Rumble match after entering last(#30).
- The Great Khali proved his might by eliminating the most number of participants in the match – seven.
- Viscera had to be eliminated by 8 men, which is a record in itself.
- Kane created history by participating in the eleventh Royal Rumble match of his career – The most by any wrestler. He has extended his record to 15 till 2011.
- Edge is credited for his longevity in this match. He lasted for 44 minutes.
