After waiting almost two years to be featured as the top Superstar in SmackDown Live's women’s division, Carmella cashed in her Money In The Bank contract on Charlotte Flair in April 2018, with help from Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, to become a champion for the first time in NXT or WWE.

Since then, “The Princess of Staten Island” has cut some excellent heel promos on Tuesday nights to show exactly why WWE trusted her with the briefcase and title in the first place, and it cannot be denied that she has significantly improved over the last year as an in-ring competitor.
