For her, it was never about a streak or a number, it was about proving she was the best of every division she was ever a part of. Tonight, after a brutal #WWETLC match, the Empress of Tomorrow is the Champion of Today. Congratulations @WWEAsuka. #WeAreNXTpic.twitter.com/flIgmYMjEg
It was a bold decision to have the women of SmackDown Live main event a pay-per-view event. But then, when the bell rang, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Asuka proved why they deserved the coveted spot. They were hungry from the word go and took each other to the limit.
It's a wonder none of them are seriously hurt after what looked like a really brutal match. Becky Lynch's popularity grows with every passing day, and even though she did not win, the feel good moment with Asuka's win made it all okay for the entire WWE Universe. It is clear that big things are in store for Becky Lynch, down the line.
