After leaving WWE to pursue his dreams of playing professional football, Lesnar conquered the world of mixed martial arts and became the UFC Heavyweight Champion. But with his health problems getting in his way, Lesnar decided to retire from MMA. Vince McMahon and WWE opened doors for a potential return for Brock, and in 2012, the stage was set for the former WWE Champion to make his triumphant return to the company.

Rumours had already made rounds about Lesnar re-signing with the WWE, and the fans in attendance hoped to get a glimpse of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

The night after WrestleMania 28, John Cena invited The Rock down to the ring to shake his hand. However, it wasn't 'The Great One' that responded.
