There are still several great tag teams in the world. Teams like DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) would have easily been one of the top teams in the world were they still together.

They had amazing matches with the likes of the Undisputed Era, AOP and the Revival. Many of their bouts were 'match of the year' candidates. Were they a team at the moment, they'd be on this list.

Evil and Sanada are a great team and the main tag team of LIJ. They are the current IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team champions.

Sanada is one of the best wrestlers in the world and was mishandled during his run in TNA/Impact.

The Bar is a great team due to the chemistry between Sheamus and Cesaro. They've held tag gold five separate times and have had fantastic matches with both the New Day and the Usos.

While they reunited for about a year, the Golden Lovers were an exciting combination of Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. Both were incredibly successful as singles' stars, so the run was short-lived.

That didn't mean their matches, including one with the Young Bucks, weren't a testament to tag team wrestling.
