2015 was an interesting year for both Cena and Cesaro. The former began wrestling at a level that he had never reached before, putting on fantastic title defense matches on a weekly basis.

The latter, meanwhile, was trying desperately to prove to everyone – especially a critical Vince McMahon – that he was capable of getting a positive reaction from the crowd. On this fateful episode of RAW, Cesaro challenged Cena for the U.S. title for the second time and came even closer to actually winning.

The audience clearly loved both guys, especially Cesaro, who showed both incredible power and agility throughout the match. Although he lost the match, Cena himself praised Cesaro after the show ended, and the match itself was widely hailed as an ‘instant classic’.
