Unexpected gem

The action in this match was simply amazing to see by RAW 1993 standards.

Marty Jannetty had been fired by WWE five month prior to the match and due to his reported issues at the time, no one expected him back any time soon, but here he was emerging from the crowd in disguise, challenging Shawn to an impromptu WWE Intercontinental Championship match.

The match was given a good amount of time, considering RAW was only 1 hour long at the time, and the two throughout some moves that hadn't been seen on WWE TV in so long. It was high flying and very fast paced. Many WWE superstars, including Daniel Bryan, have called it their favourite match in WWE RAW history and one of the best ever, overall.

Marty took the win and Intercontinental title with help from Mr. Perfect.
