After being on hiatus to end the 1980s, the Women's Championship was brought back in 1993.

Alundra Blayze was to be the new featured female performer of the company. She never really caught on, however. Despite feuds with the likes of Bull Nakano and Bertha Faye, Blayze left the company with the belt in 1995.

She promptly threw it in the trash on Nitro, where it would remain for the next three years until WWE brought it back.

Even though she once threw the WWE Women's Championship belt in the trash on an episode of WCW Nitro, WWE inducted Blayze into the Hall of Fame in 2015.

In total, Blayze won the WWE Women's Championship three times and held it for a combined 539 days.
