#5. Triple H tore his quads on two separate occasions
Triple H sadly suffered the same injury twice while competing on WWE TV. First, in 2001 and then later in 2007.
The first career-threatening injury took place on an episode of Monday Night RAW where Triple H was in the main event with Stone Cold Steve Austin against Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. During the match Triple H tore his quadriceps completely off the bone. Triple H did complete the match, and even took some moves that directly affected the torn quadriceps. What a warrior!

Triple H was out of action for eight months before returning to a thunderous reception at Madison Square Garden in 2002. Six years later, a similar injury occurred, again in a tag team match.
This time, it was his right quadricep that was torn in a match with Shawn Michaels against Edge and Randy Orton at New Year's Revolution in 2007. The match ultimately ended in a no-contest.
#4. Tyson Kidd suffered a career ending injury in a dark match
Tyson Kidd, who is now one of WWE's most reliable backstage producers, suffered a career-ending injury in a dark match prior to an episode of Monday Night RAW.
Footage captured by a fan showed his opponent on the night, Samoa Joe, deliver a Muscle Buster which resulted in Kidd landing on his neck. Kidd was extremely lucky to make it through, as the move could have left him paralyzed.
Kidd received 16 staples, four screws and a rod in his neck which completely ended his in-ring career. He will not be able to step into the ring again.
#3. Joey Mercury suffered a brutal injury during a WWE Ladder Match
This is by far one of the most brutal and bloody injuries witnessed at a WWE show.
During a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Ladder Match at Armageddon in 2006, Joey Mercury was accidentally struck in the face by a ladder at high speed, breaking his nose and orbital bone. Blood was gushing out of Mercury's nose and he was immediately rushed to WWE's medical room for treatment.
His tag team partner John Morrison (then known as Johnny Nitro) continued the match alone. Thankfully, Joey Mercury made a recovery after receiving 30 stitches, and returned to WWE in-ring competition a few weeks later.
