Drew McIntyre explained to STV in 2014 that he had two obsessions as a child: football and wrestling. He knew when he grew up that he'd either be a footballer for Scottish club Rangers or a WWE Superstar.
As a six-year-old, he and his brother received Celtic shirts – Rangers' arch-rivals – from their parents as a joke Christmas present. The joke didn't go down too well with Drew, who started crying, but his parents later made up for it when he received a signed shirt from Rangers legend Ally McCoist.
