Io Shirai joined the world of pro wrestling along with her sister, Mio. Eventually, Mio would move on from wrestling while Io became one of the most celebrated performers, male or female, from the Land of the Rising Sun. Her nickname 'genius of the sky' is apropos, as anyone who tunes in to NXT can attest.
Ricochet has gone by a number of different names, most notably Prince Puma in Lucha Underground. However, the man needs no flashy mask or gimmick because he brings the flash himself. Ricochet moves with a liquid grace that sets him apart even from other Luchadores.
This match would be contested as much in the air as on the mat. With two of the most gifted high flyers in the game, the action would be fast, furious, and jaw-droppingly explosive. These two match up evenly on almost every level.
They've both been wrestling for over ten years, have both held championships in every promotion they've yet worked at, and they both have an insane work rate. This match might best be contested in a steel cage to give even more areas to jump off of for the two aerial artists.
