#5 Shane Strickland
Shane Strickland recently posted on social media that he's now a free agent. This may not seem significant, but the reason he hadn't signed with WWE already was due to contractual obligations with Lucha Underground last year. Strickland, who plays Killshot in WWE, was very close to signing late last year, so it seems like the time has finally come.
Strickland has faced off against the likes of Johnny Gargano, Tony Nese, Kalisto, The Young Bucks, Ricochet and Kenny Omega, and is a former MLW Heavyweight Champion, CZW World Heavyweight Champion and CZW Wired Champion and PCW Ultra Light Heavyweight Champion.
#4 Jazzy Gabert
This one is just an all-round good news story. Jazzy Gabert was hotly tipped to sign for WWE after making a huge impact during the inaugural Mae Young Classic, but WWE rescinded the contract offer after she was diagnosed with three slipped discs.
Following successful surgery, Gabert - also known as Alpha Female - confirmed she was in talks with WWE and is reported to have signed after appearing in the audience of NXT UK TakeOver in Blackpool.
#3 ACH
At 31, Albert Christian Hardie Jr is another relatively young star who seems to be on his way to WWE. ACH has competed in ROH, Impact Wrestling, AAA and NJPW among others.
ACH stands at five-foot-nine and is incredibly athletic, stating that he's drawn inspiration from the luchadors who competed on WCW when he first watched wrestling at a friend's house as a child after his parents separated.
