Much like the women’s championship, we’re not referring to the current incarnations of the belts on either Raw or SmackDown Live. We’re talking about the titles which helped to put tag team wrestling on the map, and the titles which encouraged the teams of today to really push forward with the idea of perfecting their work as a duo.
The Dudley Boyz, Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boyz are three of the many teams who helped to legitimize these titles in the last few decades, and now, the future of tag wrestling is more exciting than ever. Some fans seem to think that the concept has a certain ceiling and won’t be able to advance much further, but as we’ve all seen, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
