Summerslam 2010 was meant to be the moment where the Nexus became the most formidable faction in WWE history. After running rough shot over everyone, the final exclamation point was meant to be a win at Summerslam over Team WWE. And that was the plan leading up to the day until John Cena convinced Vince McMahon to think otherwise.
Even Edge and Chris Jericho were vying for the Nexus to win, but Super Cena would avail and beat the last two members of Nexus to win. With that, we never really saw the Nexus again and out went the most entertaining storyline of the new era.
