#3 Stone Cold Steve Austin
WrestleMania X-Seven birthed the heel persona of Stone Cold Steve Austin after he attacked The Rock with a steel chair provided to him by Vince McMahon. Shortly before this, Austin had defeated him for the WWE Championship, making him a five-time champion.
Not much time had passed before The Rock and Austin faced off again. However, during their steel cage title match, Triple H interrupted to assault Austin's rival with a sledgehammer. This moment signaled the allyship between The Game and Austin, and the pair dubbed themselves The Two-Man Power Trip.

After this, the pair dominated the tag division, until they faced Kane and The Undertaker at Backlash. The battle between The Two-Man Power Trip and The Brothers of Destruction had a lot at stake, with Austin's WWE Championship, Triple H's Intercontinental Championship, and The Brothers of Destruction's Tag Team Championships all on the line.
The Power Trip emerged victorious, but the feud between the four of them burned on. Austin and Triple H held onto all four titles for another month until they dropped the Tag Team Championships to Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho.
