2018 was a year of firsts for women in WWE. The year started with their first-ever Royal Rumble match and finished with the first all women’s pay-per-view, Evolution. The event was headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella, but the show was stolen by Becky and Charlotte facing off for the SmackDown women’s title. The match was arguably one of the most brutal we had seen so far from the women in WWE, with them smashing each other through tables, attacking each other with kendo sticks, and even Charlotte being buried under a pile of chairs.

Bayley wins WWE Money In The Bank

Bayley was our shock Miss Money in the Bank in the 2019 edition of the event, clasping the contract after knocking then-besties Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville off the top of the ladder. Bayley later cashed in her contract on Charlotte Flair, who had just spent a good minute as SmackDown women’s champion. The wins for Bayley that night, sowed the seeds for her much-anticipated heel turn later that summer.
