During WWE and ECW's infamous Invasion storyline, veteran WWE superstar and nine-time Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho played a major part in the entire story and for his brilliant performances both inside and outside of the ring, Y2J was eventually awarded the WCW World Championship at No Mercy, 2001, defeating the ever-popular Rock to win the title.

One night after, Jericho and Rock decided to put aside their differences as they teamed up and much to everyone's surprise, the duo won the WWF Tag Team Championships from The Dudley Boyz on the very first night together as a tag team. Therefore, this eventually marked Jericho's first ever reign as a dual champion in the WWF, however, that was not all!
Shortly afterward, Jericho lost both the tag team title and the WCW Championship (back to The Rock) and after having solidified his place as a heel, Jericho defeated both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the very same night to win both the WCW World Title and the WWF Title at the very same time.
In doing so, Y2J became the first man to hold both major World Titles the WWF had to offer at that point of time, as he eventually became the first ever Undisputed Champion in WWE history.
