#9 Jim Cornette

One of the greatest talkers in the business, Cornette managed the Midnight Express and others to fantastic success. His years after on camera haven't been as kind, however.
He created Smoky Mountain Wrestling in an attempt to return wrestling to its roots but had to sell the company to WWE when it collapsed. Then he took various gigs at ROH and TNA but never seemed to be able to actually get those companies on the right track.
Cornette is bitter toward WWE about the failure of SMW, but he's extremely bitter toward certain wrestlers who are quite popular with fans, particularly Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. He constantly runs those men down in interviews and on social media, because they don't take wrestling 'seriously' enough. Considering he once slapped Santino Marella for laughing at a wrestling storyline in a writer's meeting, you can tell he takes wrestling seriously...perhaps a bit too seriously.
