WrestleMania goes by many names. The Showcase of the Immortals, The Grandest Stage of Them All, The Super Bowl of Sports Entertainment. Throughout 33 editions of this "Show of Shows", some of professional wrestling's greatest have shined and will have their names forever known in the history of WrestleMania.
Names like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, The Rock, and Hulk Hogan have moments that will last a lifetime, but there are some very successful wrestlers that fly under the radar that has also succeeded at WrestleMania, and this article will take a look at them.
This list will include two former WWE Superstars who are actually undefeated at WrestleMania with more than two matches in their career at the event, a tag team that is also undefeated, and two men that never held the WWE Championship in their career, but probably should have been champion at one point.
#5 Sable
"This is for all the women who want to be me and all the men who came to see me." That was the famous tagline of the beautiful and dangerous Sable who wrestled in the WWE from 1996 to 1999 and then again from 2003 to 2004.
Many know Sable as the wife of WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, but she broke into the business as the valet of Marc Mero before famously turning on him.
Though Sable only won the WWE Women's Championship once, her WrestleMania record is flawless at 3-0. With Mero, she defeated Goldust and Luna Vachon at WrestleMania XIV, retained her title against Tori at WrestleMania XV, and with Torrie Wilson, she defeated Miss Jackie and Stacy Keibler at WrestleMania XX.
#4 Legion of Doom
Known as the Road Warriors in the NWA under Jim Crockett Promotions, Hawk and Animal rose to prominence within the tag division under the guidance of Paul Ellering (who now manages the Authors of Pain). In the WWE they won the tag titles twice and were inducted into the 2011 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.
When it comes to WrestleMania, Hawk and Animal are also undefeated with a record of 3-0. They defeated Hercules and Paul Roma at WrestleMania VII. They teamed with Ahmed Johnson to defeat Crush, Faarooq, and Savio Vega at WrestleMania 13, and they defeated 15 other tag teams in a battle royal at WrestleMania XIV.
#3 Owen Hart
The story of Owen Hart was tragic when his life was cut short at 34 years old. There is no doubt that he would have been a WWE Champion at some point in his great career if he had lived on. Though he never was WWE Champion, he held the WWE Tag Team Championship four times and WWE Intercontinental Championship twice.
In his career, Owen wrestled in eight WrestleMania matches with a spectacular record of 5-2-1. His biggest WrestleMania win was probably his best WrestleMania match when he defeated his brother Bret "The Hitman" Hart in an amazing match that kicked off WrestleMania X in 1994.
The one draw on his record was a double count out for the WWF Tag Team Championships teaming with The British Bulldog against Mankind and Vader at WrestleMania 13.
#2 Big Boss Man
The Big Boss Man had a very lengthy and notable career that wasn't really defined by championships. In fact, outside of the WWF Hardcore Championship, he only held the WWF Tag Team Championships with Ken Shamrock in The Corporation for his only other title.
The Attitude Era revived his career when he was a big part of Vince McMahon's faction who was trying to top Stone Cold Steve Austin from succeeding.
The man from Cobb County, Georgia has an amazing WrestleMania record of 5-1. His first win was a tag match with Akeem where they defeated The Rockers of Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty.
His only loss is probably the most notable at WrestleMania XV when he fell victim to The Undertaker. It's notable for the fact that Taker actually hung Boss Man with a noose from the top of the Hell in a Cell in what was a gruesome visual.
#1 Rob Van Dam
The Streak that nobody talks about is Rob Van Dam's. We all know of The Undertaker's streak, but RVD has the best-undefeated streak now at 4-0. RVD became well known as one of the most amazing wrestlers of the original ECW brand before coming to the WWE in 2001 during The Invasion.
During RVD's WWE career, he was a world champion twice (once each with the ECW and WWE Championships) to go with six WWE Intercontinental Championships and three total tag team championships.
RVD first defeated William Regal at WrestleMania X8 to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He also won the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 22 defeating the likes of Bobby Lashley, Finlay, Matt Hardy, Ric Flair, and Shelton Benjamin.
RVD still wrestles today, so there is always the possibility that he could have one more WrestleMania moment.
